I have been in Venice for roughly the last 3 days and have been enjoying every minute. Here’s a few photos from the trip so far…
View of San Marco from the island our hotel is on. Takes about a 10 minute boat ride from where we are.
Probably one of the more recognizable buildings in Venice, the Campanile, the highest tower in the entire city. Takes money to go up it - didn’t really want to go up that bad. Spent that money on a bottle of wine…which we found out is legal to drink on the streets. So we did that instead.
A pretty normal sight in Venice. Every time I crossed a bridge I felt the urge to take a picture. It’s just so hard not to.
Visited a Da Vinci gallery with around 80 sketches from his personal journals. Amazing to see his work, process, and ideas so up close and personal. Don’t think I was allowed to take photos, but didn’t know that until after I was done with the gallery.
First day here and we enjoyed watching the sunset with some red wine and cigars on top of our friends hotel.
One thing I cannot get enough of here is the coffee. It comes in a lot smaller cups then what I’m used to in the US, but it is definitely a higher quality coffee and isn’t toned down by too much flavor or water. Every cup has literally been the best coffee I’ve ever had. No offense Alaska - your coffee is great too.
The architecture here is gorgeous. Some of these buildings I could just look at forever.
Saw Verne Troyer aka Mini Me while walking around Venice. How was I not going to take a picture with him?
Venice, Italy is just as perfect as I pictured it. We’ve only been here two days, but we’ve done so much that it feels like a week. Love when that happens. (at Hotel Reiter)
